Buying Return Pallets – What Is It & Is It Worth It?

Ever wondered what happens when you return your orders to stores? Of course, depending on the store, and the order, will depend on what happens to it.

Chances are if you return a jumper to your local Marks & Spencers, they will go straight back on the rail, ready to be resold.

But what happens when your returns have issues, such as snags, missing pieces, or the odd scratch or dent?

More and more companies are buying up old, end of line, damaged or incomplete stock from companies all over, and selling them on as return pallets.

Similar things have been done in the past, with police and airport auctions as well as abandoned storage lockers; selling off items that have either been confiscated, or simply never reclaimed. Other companies have gone into liquidation, and the stock is completely fine – but the company who held it no longer exists.

Most companies are fairly transparent in their selling process. You are fully aware that what you are buying is more than likely in some way defected, and could well be damaged or missing parts. For this reason, it is heavily discounted.

However, this is not to say that it is always the case. You may fall lucky and have no issues with your purchase, or be able to easily fix and rectify the problem.
