Investing – What to Spend Money On, To Accumulate Money

Investing money has been around since forever. When most people mention investing, we tend to think properties. Stocks. Cryptocurrency.

The act of investing is defined as laying out money or capital in an enterprise, with the expectation of profit.

But actually, if you’re smart, you can invest in anything. If you have a hobby, or passion, or even a celebrity or TV show that you’re hooked on. If you have knowledge or expertise in a particular field or subject, why not look to invest!

Comics

Childrens’ comics such as The Amazing Spider Man, The Incredible Hulk, The Justice League, The Fantastic Four, to name a few, aren’t just for children. In fact, they have a huge following with people from around the world. Look at The Big Bang Theory, or go to any Comic Con event around the world to see just how huge the fan base is.

You could argue that any comic will be a good investment in time, but the best comics to invest in are always going to be ones in a good condition, first editions, ones that contain the first appearance of certain characters, rare comics, and ones with signatures of actors, authors, writers, illustrators; the more signatures, the better.

Companies such as CGC certify comics officially, wrap them in plastic and put them in a hard-plastic case for safe keeping. They are officially graded, and recorded onto a database with a code for authenticity, which is usually marked on the case of the comic.

TV Show & Celebrity Memorabilia

Think Friends, Cheers, Red Dwarf, and The Simpsons. Think Marilyn Monroe, Elvis Presley, Prince and even The Royal Family. Any memorabilia you can get your hands on, whether it be plates and spoons, pencil cases or cushion covers, will always be worth investing in. If you can keep your item in pristine condition, even better. Whether the show is still running or the person is still alive, fear not.

Over time, the value of your item will always increase as long as you keep it in new condition, and when the shows stop, or actors or celebrities meet their demise, watch the price of your product sky rocket.

Childhood Collectables

Childhood toys are another great item to invest in, and one you may already have a head start in. From action figures, to Beanie Babies, wooden trainsets to Pokémon cards, there will always be people wanting to collect them… Meaning they will always be worth money!

Trainers

As mad as it may sound, old stock from popular companies can be worth a small fortune. Air Jordan are one of the bigger collectables when it comes to trainers, but are by no means the only company, or the first. Companies like StockX specialise in selling old stock no longer available from companies, much like eBay; the items are auctioned to the highest bidder.
