Top Places to Buy Bargain Games & Game Consoles

2020 is definitely one of the weirdest years I’ve lived through yet. Aside from the obvious – even the weather has gone haywire! I spent most of April getting tanned (dare I say it – even a lil burnt!) and cursing my white strap marks. Yet somehow, throughout June and July spent most of my time in jumpers and bed socks – and my hardest not to put the heating on!

Since staying in this summer is the new norm, I figured I’d better check out some cheap and old school ways to entertain yourself indoors for hours… By finding great deals on game consoles, you naughty bunch!

Charity Shops

When was the last time you actually walked round a charity shop?! Some are like Aladdin’s Cave, with all manor of mystical items. But look past all that, and you may be lucky enough to find a Nintendo Wii, a ps4 or some great console games! Typically, you will have more joy with items like these in the larger stores – but if you’re walking past one – check it out – you may find someone even better than what you were looking for!

Music Magpie

Established in 2007, Music Magpie has grown from strength to strength, growing into a multimillion-pound online business, and the most popular website of its kind in Europe! They specialise in buying old games and electronics, DVDs and CDs – which they then resell! Check them out for a great bargain, and treat yourself to some new games!

CEX

Similar to Music Magpie, but on the high street as well as online – meaning you can always wander round picking up what you want. This gives you a great excuse to get out the house and stretch your legs, and you can even trade a few bits in whilst you’re in store searching for game consoles! Their website has a transparent pricing guide, and it is quick and easy to buy and sell items.

Gumtree

Gumtree, the trusty free site that sells anything and everything, including game consoles and games! Self-proclaimed as the first site for classified free ads, you can narrow your search down by item and location, and then narrow it down further from there. Another great site that is often overlooked. Check it out and see what deals you can get, and practise your haggling skills!
