Save Time, Save Money – Life Hacks You Should Pr

Its officially September. The nights are drawing in, the kids are back at school, and city traffic is back to its usual nightmare self. With the hustle and bustle of daily life back to normal, time is no longer something we have in abundance.

As we all know, time is money. With that in mind, this week we are here to try and save you some time; as well as your money!

Packed Lunch

Whether you are packing food for the kids, hubby, or yourself (no matter if you work from home or not), packing your lunches the night before will always save you time the next day. This always works better when doing in bulk. If you have a full household it can work in your favour, as you can pack for the whole family.

If its just you, even better; one night’s worth of food prep can get you lunch sorted for a whole week. There will also be no negotiating on the menu with having to please others weird tastes!

Early Bird Workouts

I am absolutely not a morning person, but I will admit that if I can actually manage to wake up early enough, early morning workouts always boost my day. You can take a refreshing shower once you’re done, and feel super productive that you’ve already squeezed a workout in before 7/8/9am.

This puts you in a really positive mood, which should increase productivity for the rest of the day. By the time it gets to bedtime, you should be exhausted; meaning a peaceful and relaxed sleep. Win win!

Online Shopping

As much as I’m all up for shopping local – lets be honest, online shopping is just so convenient, and it definitely saves time! Whether you’re in the bath, having breakfast or on your commute to work – you can grab your phone and get what you need.

Its also a great way to find a bargain, as well as making sure you don’t overspend!

A Room A Day

Keeping a house tidy, bluntly, can be a weary and frustrating task; especially if you are the main person who keeps the house looking its best.

Rather than overwhelm yourself with an entire house to clean in one go, stick to a room a day, if you can. One room can be cleaned in a reasonably short time. You can also reward yourself with a cheeky treat once you’re done.

Some household chores, like washing up or ironing, can be done whilst watching tv/ listening to music/ nattering/ practising homework; all of which will help the time go quicker and won’t seem such a chore.

Keep Fuelled

Running low on fuel always seems to come at the most inconvenient time. The easiest way around this? Always make sure you have fuel!

It may sound obvious, but you’d be surprised at how many people play fuel light bingo when it comes to their fuel tank. A general rule of thumb is to not let it drop below half a tank. That way, if you are in a rush and don’t have time to stop for fuel, or you have to make an unscheduled journey, you will always be prepared.
